Super Bowl LVI, or the 2022 NFL Super Bowl, is Fast Approaching
The NFL playoff season is underway and it’s time we talk about 2022 NFL Super Bowl, or Super Bowl LVI, futures. One team remains alone at the top of the heap as the favorite to win Super Bowl LVI – Green Bay.
Is there a team remaining in the field that could pull off the upset?

One upset has taken place thus far as the underdog San Francisco 49ers ousted Dallas from the playoffs with a 23-17 wild card round victory. Could the 49ers make an unprecedented run to the Super Bowl? Or could it be someone else?
Packers Favored In 2021 NFL Super Bowl Futures Odds
Green Bay is given +350 odds after having opened at +900. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is having another MVP-worthy season. He guided the Packers to six wins in their final eight games. Green Bay lost a meaningless season finale to Detroit.
The Packers will have the No. 1 seed and home field advantage all the way to the NFC championship game. Home field advantage matters as at least one top seed has made it to the Super Bowl in seven of the last eight seasons.
Recently though, one No. 1 seed made it to the Super Bowl in 2020 and 2019, but zero top seeds played in the Super Bowl after the 2018 season.

Top Contenders for Super Bowl LVI
The Buffalo Bills, listed at +450, are on the board right below Green Bay and for good reason. The Bills absolutely dominated the New England Patriots in their wild card game scoring a touchdown on each of their first seven drives of the game. That’s the first time that ever happened in the NFL playoffs.
The Bills defense was equally as good holding the Patriots to just 17 points in the 47-17 victory. Buffalo has the No. 1 defense in the NFL and QB Josh Allen threw five touchdown passes in the win over New England.
The Chiefs, who won Super Bowl 50, check in at +500. After a slow start in their wild card game against Pittsburgh, Kansas City exploded for 35 points in a 12-minute span and won big, 42-21.
Kansas City’s offense is extremely explosive and since Week 6 of the regular season, no defense in the NFL has played better.
Making a Case for a Sleeper in 2022 NFL Super Bowl Futures
The one team that gets lost in the shuffle is the AFC’s top seed – Tennessee. The Titans finished 12-5 to win the AFC South Division. They won their final three games of the season to earn a much needed week off with the bye.
That week off will give RB Derrick Henry more time to get ready to re-enter the Titans lineup. Remember, Henry was leading the league in rushing when he suffered a foot injury. Tennessee still finished fifth in the league in rushing averaging 141.1 yards per game.
The Titans also had the second-best run defense (84.6 ypg) in the NFL. A deeper look at NFL scores show they were sixth in scoring defense allowing opponents 20.8 points per game.
With Henry back in the lineup, the Titans could march right into Super Bowl LVI. Don’t forget, Tennessee was 7-2 at home this season where a potential AFC title game could take place.
Tennessee opened the season listed at +2500 to win the Super Bowl. They are now down to +800 at your online sportsbook. They are still listed behind defending champion Tampa Bay which checks in at +750.
