Houston Rockets Can Make Some Noise
The Houston Rockets had just seven wins in their 13 games before the NBA restart. This is clearly not ideal when fighting for positioning in a tight playoff race in the Western Conference.
James Harden and most of the members of the Houston roster have gone through many playoff disappointments together. Now, this team looks for redemption in Orlando.
Houston has a veteran team with enough tools to compete with anyone. Guard Eric Gordon landed awkwardly just before the end of the first half in a scrimmage game against the Celtics and he sprained his left ankle. Gordon is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.
This means that he might miss the games against the Bucks and Lakers. These are two huge contests for the Rockets, who can’t afford to lose ground in the Western Conference standings.
Even with Eric Gordon out for some time, the Rockets have had plenty of time to rest up and the addition of Robert Covington will help them a lot.
Without Gordon, Austin Rivers, Ben McLemore and Danuel House will see more game minutes. The Rockets also need Luc Mbah a Moute, DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Green to step up their games.
