In a series that was predicted by most to be a sweep for the surging Tigers and struggling Royals the result has been quite a surprise. The Tigers have dropped two games to the Royals. They have fallen three games back on divisional leaders the Chicago White Socks.
After a promising 5-1 record last week it was looking like Detroit could be closer to a divisional lead. Unfortunately for the Tigers they have seemingly lost their pitching and hitting.
The Royals on the other hand are filling the role of spoiler well. They have found a way to get the opportune hits and pitches to keep the Tiger’s offense and pitching on edge.
