Jones is a massive favorite in this one, with -750 odds to win against Belfort’s +475. The disparity comes because of the shortness of prep time. Jones refused to fight Chael Sonnen, then Lyoto Machida didn’t want to fight Jones, so ultimately Belfort – the former title holder – was chosen. Meanwhile, if (when?) Jones defends his belt, he’ll match Chuck Liddell’s number of title defenses.
Also on the card is Joseph Benavidez against Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in the final of the tournament to decide the UFC’s first Flyweight Champion.
