Bones Jones the Favorite to Defend UFC Light Heavyweight Championship
The UFC returns to one of its most profitable cities when the Air Canada Centre in Toronto hosts UFC 152 this Saturday, and in a surprising turn of events thanks to the cancellation of UFC 151, Jon “Bones” Jones will defend his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship against Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort.

Jones is a massive favorite in this one, with -750 odds to win against Belfort’s +475. The disparity comes because of the shortness of prep time. Jones refused to fight Chael Sonnen, then Lyoto Machida didn’t want to fight Jones, so ultimately Belfort – the former title holder – was chosen. Meanwhile, if (when?) Jones defends his belt, he’ll match Chuck Liddell’s number of title defenses.
Also on the card is Joseph Benavidez against Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in the final of the tournament to decide the UFC’s first Flyweight Champion. Benavidez comes in as the -285 favorite to Johnson’s +225. Benavidez made it to the final by easily dispatching Yasuhiro Urushitani, while it took Johnson two fights to get past Ian McCall.
