Buffaloes Look to Keep Pace in Pac-12
The Colorado Buffaloes come into Thursday night’s Pac-12 conference matchup ranked No. 23 in the country while the Washington State Cougars are unranked. The Buffaloes are looking to rebound from a 21-point loss at Arizona.

The amount of turmoil in this college basketball season has been electric and exhilarating. It seems like every week, there is another top team losing its ranking.
With no king on the throne, that means this season is as wide open as it has ever been. That means more teams have a chance to make some noise by the end of the season.
Besides there being no clear favorite team, there is no clear favorite conference either. In recent memory, the Pac-12 has been behind the curve of the other Power Five conferences.
The conference may have one or two teams in the mix, but this year, it has closed that gap considerably.
There are a number of teams from the West Coast that will be in the mix for a long time this season, including Stanford, Oregon, USC, Colorado, Arizona and more.
Two of those teams will be matched up head-to-head on Thursday night when the Washington State Cougars go on the road to take on the Colorado Buffaloes.
Washington State Coming Off Big Win
The Cougars recently had one of their most impressive wins of the season when they took down Oregon at home last week.
It just goes to show this season that even if a ranked team is going up against an unranked team, there is no way you can guarantee that anyone is safe.
On the contrary, I have really enjoyed watching Colorado all season long, and it has been really consistent.
What I love most about the Buffaloes is the defense that they have been able to showcase. As a team, they hold opponents to around 62 points per game and have them shoot in the low 40s for field-goal percentage.
Neither of these teams are high-powered, run-and-gun offenses, but they have put together respectable seasons so far and are ready to add to their resumes.
Another ranked win against Colorado could afford the chance for Washington State to creep into the Top 25 rankings.

This, That and a College Basketball Dart Throw
Colorado is clearly the superior team in this matchup. But Washington State is led by sophomore forward C.J. Elleby, who is averaging 19 points and seven rebounds per game.
Elleby is a go-to scorer for any team and can get to the foul line, as he shoots free throws at around 82 percent. He will definitely be the focus of the Colorado defense.
Letting Elleby get out ahead early and get going is a dangerous precedent to set for the game. If the Cougars want to walk away with a victory here, they are going to need a monster performance from Elleby.
Colorado features a much more balanced scoring attack, though its guard play dominates the rest of its team.
Malcolm Wright IV and Tyler Bey are the two leading scorers for this Colorado offense as they both average around 13 points per game.
Even though Bey is a guard, he still finds a way to haul in nine rebounds per game and is really a centerpiece to the Buffaloes’ offense.
Our friends over at VietBet have Colorado favored in this game at -13. All U.S. players are accepted at VietBet.
Colorado Buffaloes Are Much Better Team
Like I said earlier, Colorado is the superior team in this game, but thanks to all the turmoil in this year’s college basketball season, no ranked team is ever safe.
I think this matchup plays well in Colorado’s favor, and I think it will be able to put a lid on Elleby and force the other Washington State players to beat them.
I’m picking Colorado in this matchup to get the job done at home.
