UFC 154 Odds Favor Rehabilitated GSP Against Interim Champ Condit
This weekend, for the first time in over a year and a half, MMA fans will applaud an undisputed UFC welterweight champion. Who it will be though, isn’t yet clear. Although early odds favor the finally-healthy Georges St-Pierre, any physical setbacks could tip the decision in interim champion Carlos Condit’s favor.

Health concerns aside, there’s reason St-Pierre has been granted the -360 advantage, the MMA betting community knows that. When at the top of his game, and especially in front of a raucous home crowd, he’s one of the greatest fighters the sport has ever seen.
That’s not to say, however, that the younger, less experienced Condit isn’t still capable of causing damage in the octagon at UFC 154. After beating Nick Diaz for the interim title last year, the +270 underdog Condit has established himself as a threat not to be taken lightly.
Coming off of a legitimate injury to his ACL, St-Pierre will have to be particularly careful on his knee, but after 18 months of intense rehabilitation, it seems as though that might not be a problem.
Although it’s been said that no athlete is the quite same after an injury the magnitude of which GSP suffered, few athletes ever start out as dominant as St-Pierre did in the first place.
