Odds to win the 2020-21 NBA Championship

2020-21 Nba Season

Will Their be Surprises for 2020-21 NBA Championship

The NBA season is back and so are our Handicapper Hideaway basketball betting articles. The 2020-21 NBA Championship Odds are out. It seems just yesterday we were seeing the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat in the bubble, and now we have already completed the draft, the free agency period, trades, and now we are getting our preseason ready for the NBA season to start on December 22nd.

In this basketball betting article, we’ll cover the Odds to win this season’s NBA championship, where the defending champions will look for a repeat against up and coming franchises who are making chess moves to have a chance for the title.

We’ll also talk about a few teams who we know well, such as the Golden State Warriors, who had to take a backseat this past season due to injuries, whereas other teams such as the Nets, have high expectations from their various player acquisitions.

As you might already know, this season will be slightly shorter (72 games), which if we think about it, we might have even less games as the pandemic is still taking a toll on sports worldwide. Teams might need to postpone games throughout the season as players might get infected with the virus and spread it around the team or their opponents.

So the league will be treading lightly as the months go by, especially with having fans in attendance or not.

The odds to win the NBA championship will be set as a Future Bet, which basically means a wager that will be placed through your sportsbook account, but not graded until the outcome is defined. Your funds will be taken from your balance, and you will be credited back at the end of the season, once the champion is crowned.

Best Odds to win the 2020-21 NBA Championship

Los Angeles Lakers +250

It’s not usual that the defending champions come out as the winners in the following offseason, but alas, they did. Their opponents should be the ones prepping to counteract the title winners, but the Lakers managed to steal Montrez Harrel from their rival Clippers, get Dennis Schroder in a trade and sign Marc Gasol.

Sadly, they lost Dwight Howard, Javale McGee, Rajon Rondo and Danny Green. They still remain favorites to win the league and have Lebron and AD get their 2nd championship in Lalaland.

Milwaukee Bucks +500

The reigning MVP, Giannis Anteteokoumpu, will continue to get better with a set goal in mind, to win the NBA title.  He is yet to confirm if he will sign the max extension that will permit the Bucks to breath… but the tension is still on until he put s the pen to paper.

They did get better by acquiring Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis and D.J. Augustin, but lost Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, Wesley Mathews, Robin Lopez and Kyle Korver.

The Bucks lost to the Miami Heat in the bubble, which came as a huge surprise for the rest of the league. This year, they’ll surely contend not only in the East, but also for the best record in the NBA, the only thing they’ll need to worry about is maturing enough to make it to the Finals this year.

Brooklyn Nets +500

The Nets are the talk in the East as everybody is eager to see how well they’ll do this season. Kevin Durant will finally be able to pair up with his buddy, Kyrie Irving, but they’ll need the rest of the team to step up. Durant and Irving are coming off injuries last season, so we don’t know if they’ll come back at a 100% rate from their previous selves.

Both players are out to prove they can win without a super-team, especially Durant, who has been scrutinized for joining the 73-9 Warriors a couple of seasons back. It has yet to be seen if the ego’s of Durant and Irving will allow the nets to compete for the 2020-21 NBA Championship.

Los Angeles Clippers +600

The Clippers were favorites to win the championship last year with Kawhi and PG at the helm. However, they were embarrassed by the Denver Nuggets in the 2nd round of the Western conference last season after losing a 3-1 lead.

As a result, Doc Rivers was fired and Ty Lue (his assistant coach) was placed as the head coach of the team. They lost Harrell to their cross town rivals, and added a few extra pieces to help the roster mesh. We feel there is a strong sense of vengeance from this team, so keep a lookout on what they’ll be able to do this season. We think these odds are way too high to win the 2020-21 NBA Championship.

Golden State Warriors +1500

The Warriors were considered one of the best teams in league history a couple of seasons back. Sadly, their run came to an end due to player injuries, which they suffered during the season they lost to the Raptors. The Splash Brothers had to take a year hiatus to recover from their injuries, and just when everything looked like the team was back together, Klay Thompson ended up with another season ending injury.

This is tough for Dubs nation as their title hopes took a major dip with Klay’s absence this year. They still might be able to do some damage as Steph Curry is one of the best in the game at the moment.
