The New York Rangers are starting to look like they deserved their title as the preseason Stanley Cup favorites. They’ve compiled a winning stretch of hockey this week but most of that success was at home. Five of their first seven games were at Madison Square Garden but now they’ll head on the road to Tampa Bay to face a Lightning team that’s gotten the better of them in recent meetings.

The Lightning have been one of the league’s pleasant surprises in the early going as they find themselves near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. There’s a good chance they pad that point total when the Rangers visit as they have won four of their last six meetings with New York.
