NFL Week 13 Pick- Minnesota Vikings at Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons Football

Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings Both Streaking

The Minnesota Vikings aim to keep things rolling in the right direction this Sunday. They have a key road game against the Atlanta Falcons. Game time from Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set for 1 p.m. on FOX. BetAnySports has opened the Falcons as three-point home favorites with the total set at 47. The line now has the Falcons as 2-point favorites. The total has crept up to 48.5.

Vikings Going for 8th Straight Win and 7th Straight Cover

Minnesota moved to 9-2 straight-up on the year with last Thursday’s 30-23 victory against Detroit. They covered as a 2.5-point road favorite. It was its seventh win in a row and the six-straight cover for Minnesota. The win moved them to 8-3 against the spread. The total went OVER BetAnySports’ closing 45-point line. The total has gone OVER in four of the Vikings’ last five games. They stay on the road this week with a 3-2 record ATS in five previous road games this year. Fifth-year quarterback Case Keenam has the Vikings currently eighth in the NFL in scoring with 24.6 points per game. Last week they moved to fifth in average yards gained (375.7). He ended the game against the Lions with 282 yards passing and two touchdown throws. Keenum has passed for 2,476 yards and 14 touchdowns this season against five interceptions while completing 66.1 percent of his 330 attempts.

Atlanta Falcons Going for 4th Straight Win

Atlanta has been able to turn things around with a three-game winning streak (SU and ATS) after posting a 1-4 SU record in its previous five games. It failed to cover in all five contests. The net result is a 7-4 SU mark that has the Falcons just one game off the pace in the highly competitive NFC South title race. They are 5-6 ATS on the year and the total has gone OVER in three of their last five games on BetAnySports’ closing line. With an average of 31.7 points in its current three-game run, Atlanta’s offense has regained its early season form that made it one of the highest scoring teams in the NFL. Overall, this offense is 11th in the league with 24.1 PPG and it moves to sixth in total offense. Matt Ryan is back on track with five touchdown throws against just one pick in his last three games and Julio Jones is coming off a 12-reception performance against Tampa Bay on Sunday for 253 yards and two scores. This Sunday’s conference showdown should be a highly entertaining game between a pair of playoff contenders in the NFC, but only one can come away with the SU win. While I will refrain from making a pick as to which team covers ATS at BetAnySports, I will go with the OVER on the current 48.5-point total line. Betanysports.com
