San Francisco 49ers Face Tough Month with no Home
No, that’s not a typo. The San Francisco 49ers will “host” the Buffalo Bills in the Arizona Cardinals’ home stadium on Monday night. Officials in Santa Clara County put a ban on contact sports due to the spread of COVID-19. These California politicians are drunk with power and causing havoc everywhere you turn.
The ban extends all the way to the pro ranks. The 49ers are a team without a home for at least two “home” games. The 49ers are coming off a surprising win over the Los Angeles Rams last week. The Bills also won on Sunday, beating the Los Angeles Chargers by ten points at home.
Can the Bills move to 9-3 and take advantage of the chaos in the San Francisco logistics (not to mention their injuries)? Or will the 49ers pull off another upset? Check out our thoughts on this matchup.

Why the Bills Will Win
The Bills have won four of their last five games. They need to keep winning to stay ahead of the surprising Miami Dolphins in the AFC East. Miami won again on Sunday. They beat the Bengals 19-7, so Buffalo must win tonight to keep pace.
Josh Allen has come a long way in his third season. He has emerged with some consistency and has a 22:8 TD:INT ratio. Allen is making better decisions about when to scramble and when to stay in the pocket. His top targets have been Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. Both have stepped up after the injury to John Brown.
The Bills run for just over 104 yards per game with Devin Singletary the leading rusher.
On defense, the Bills have shown some yips but have toughened up in recent weeks, permitting 25.6 points per game. Cornerback Tre’Davious White has dealt with injuries but still leads the team with two interceptions. Interestingly, Buffalo has just covered once in their last five games against teams with a losing record, although the favorite has covered in four of the last five meetings between these two teams.
Why the 49ers Will Win
San Francisco gets secondary leader Richard Sherman back for this game. The 49ers would love to keep spoiling teams’ postseason plans while moving back into the playoff picture themselves.
Quarterback Nick Mullens has six touchdown passes and seven interceptions in relief of the injured Jimmy Garoppolo. Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne have emerged as his top targets. Deebo Samuel and George Kittle are hurt. Raheem Mostert has returned to key the running game. San Francisco averages just over 112 yards on the ground per game.
The San Francisco defense has stood tall all season long. The loss of Nick Bosa for the season could have ripped them apart, but they have stepped up. Kerry Hyder Jr. has taken up the slack in the pass rush with 7 ½ sacks. Fred Warner leads the team with 85 tackles.
The Final Word
Buffalo has put together a terrific season, particularly in coming back from that mini-slump they hit after their 4-0 start. I like the growth Josh Allen has shown this season, and I see the Bills taking advantage of a 49ers offense that is still beset with injuries. Give me the Bills to win.
The Dart Throw: Bills 24, 49ers 14
