Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks Subs Get Lots of Action Tonight
The 2017 NFL preseason comes to a close this Thursday night with an inter-conference battle between the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders. The game is set for a 10 p.m. (ET) kickoff from Oakland Coliseum. The game will be broadcast nationally on NFL Network. BetAnySports opened Oakland as a 1.5-point home favorite with the total set at 40 points. The line now has Seattle favored by 2.5 points and the total is still at 40.
Seattle will start the 2017 regular season as a heavy -260 favorite to win the NFC West again. The teams futures odds at BetAnySports to win the NFC title are set at +450. They are at the top with Green Bay as the top two favorites. The Seahawks have been perfect in the preseason at 3-0. That is straight-up and against the spread. Last week’s 26-13 victory at home against Kansas City as three-point favorites put them at the mark. The total has stayed UNDER in two of their first three preseason matchups.
You can expect to see a heavy dose of Austin Davis and Trevone Boylin at quarterback this Thursday night. Russell Wilson will be staying safe and sound on the sidelines. Wilson proved that he is in regular-season form with 200 yards passing and a touchdown throw against the Chiefs. He connecting on 13 of his 19 passing attempts. Eddie Lacy added 21 yards rushing on four carries in his effort to continue his NFL career with the Seahawks.
Oakland is favored to win the AFC West against this season at +155 betting odds with BetAnySports. They have the third-best odds on the board at +750 to win the AFC title. The Raiders are still looking for their first preseason victory this season. They are 0-3 SU and ATS after falling to Dallas 24-20 in Week 3. The Raiders were three-point road underdogs. The total has gone OVER the closing line in their last two games.
Derek Carr also had a productive outing last Saturday in Dallas with 144 yards passing and two scores. He completed 13 of the 17 passes before giving way to Connor Cook and EJ Manuel. Marshawn Lynch saw limited action as well running the ball after gaining just six yards on two carries. DeAndre Washington led the way in the ground game with 27 yards rushing on five attempts.
These are two teams that are set in their roles as legitimate conference title contenders. The main objective this Thursday night is to keep everyone healthy and be ready to go for the start of the regular season. My “best bet” pick for this game would still be with Oakland both SU and ATS to avoid a winless preseason.
