Early Line: 49ers -4 1/2 and the total is 48 1/2

Despite the home-field advantage, however, Tony Gonzalez and company will be underdogs on the NFL moneyline. With a ticket to the Super Bowl at stake, is this the year the Niners finally live up to the hype?

Fresh off of a satisfying victory over the XLV champion Green Bay Packers last weekend, there’s plenty of momentum coming out of San Francisco these days. It’s enough so that they’ve been given 19/10 odds of winning the Super Bowl, behind only the New England Patriots at 11/10.

In order to payout, however, the 49ers will have to find a way to shut down the efficient Atlanta offense that walked all over the Seattle Seahawks in the first half of their Divisional Playoff matchup. Though the Falcons certainly looked vulnerable toward the second half of that game, there’s no denying the sheer point potential the club has every time their offense takes the field.

Might Harbaugh’s vaunted defense be enough to stifle Matt Ryan and his wideout corps? Could it slow down the running back tandem of Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers? Get your NFL playoff odds today.
