They’ve already suffered their first loss of the 2015 season, courtesy of the Ole Miss Rebels, and now they find themselves as 1.5-point road dogs for Saturday’s game (3:30 PM ET, CBS) against Georgia. Although Alabama has fallen to No. 13 in the polls at 3-1 SU and 1-3 ATS, the advanced stats still think Nick Saban’s program is the best in the FBS. The Tide committed five turnovers – three picks and two lost fumbles – against Ole Miss in Week 3 to lose 43-37 as 8-point home faves. That’s not likely to happen again in Athens.
No. 8 Georgia comes into this matchup at 4-0 SU and 2-2 ATS, but could easily be 4-0 ATS after barely missing the mark in otherwise impressive victories over the Vanderbilt Commodores (+19 at home) and the Southern Jaguars (+49 away). The Bulldogs are expected to have WR/KR Isaiah McKenzie in action Saturday after a woman who had accused McKenzie of threatening to kill her decided not to pursue charges.
