NCAA Basketball Odds: Michigan, Ohio State Renew Big Ten Rivalry

Betting On Ohio State Basketball

Given the sheer depth of the Big Ten Conference, it’s no real surprise that there’s a clash of genuine contenders every few days or so. This Sunday, however, the college basketball betting community is in for a particularly special treat when the No. 15 Ohio State Buckeyes host the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines.

Not far removed from a spot in the AP’s Top 5, the Buckeyes are every bit as intriguing a bet option as their conference counterparts in Ann Arbor – although perhaps for different reasons. Though losses to respectable programs like Duke, Kansas and Illinois have dashed their expectations, one can’t help but wonder if or when the struggling club will manage to get themselves back on track.

If so, guided by Thad Matta and led by standout swingman Deshaun Thomas, the Bucs could come through on their expected odds in a way that few would foresee. Although they’ve remained relevant on the college basketball futures with 20/1 odds of winning March Madness, all they’ll have to do when lined up against the Wolverines is cover a spread.

Not so fast, though, say the Wolverines, who’ve grown desperate for a big opportunity like the one the Ohio State matchup represents. Having not teed off against many highly ranked opponents, the Sunday collision marks a bit of an opportunity for Trey Burke and company.
