NBA Preview: New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat
Tonight will feature two of the NBA’s best teams go head to head. The New York Knicks are going down to face off against LeBron James and the Heat. The no. 1 and 2 teams in the Eastern Conference are tied in the standings, and tomorrow night will be the tie breaker. This could be a preview of what the playoffs may look like so be sure to make a bet on this one.
Miami Heat
Right now there is not much dividing the former champion Heat from the Knicks. Their defensive game has not been as urgent as it should be, and that could open the door for the Knicks’s powerful offense. Against the Wizards, the Heat did not look very good. The loss made everyone think twice about their ability and will need to prove to everyone that they are the same successful team from last year. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne are tearing up the offensive scorecard. Unfortunately, Mario Chambers is out with a day-to-day injury, so his presence could be missed on the court. This game for the Heat will come down to defense.
New York Knicks
New York has been gaining confidence and their record proves it. Currently sitting at 12-2, the Knicks could win against the Heat. Carmelo Anthony is averaging a huge 26.6 points per game and the team has won four of their last five games. On the road, the Knicks record is struggling going 5-4. Although they have been dominant at home, on the road poses some issues for the Knicks and that will definitely become a factor tomorrow night.
Many online sports betting sites have the Heat listed as the favorite by 7 point with the over/under set at 202. The over/under seems high as the Knicks allow 94.7 points on average, while the Heat allows 99. With the Heat’s defense as awful as it has been there is a chance that the Knicks could beat the point spread.
