NASCAR – Richmond Federated Auto Parts 400 Preview

The drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will wrap up their regular-season schedule on Saturday night as they race in the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

Carl Edwards held off Brad Keselowski last time out to take the checkered flag in the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five drivers at Darlington, while Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Martin Truex Jr., and Kyle Larson made up the rest of the Top 10 on the night.

With one race left in the Sprint Cup Series’ regular season 11 drivers have now clinched berths in the 16-driver Chase: Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Harvick, Logano, Earnhardt Jr., Kurt Busch, Truex Jr., Keselowski, Hamlin, Edwards, and Kyle Busch.

The Chase for the Sprint Cup begins on September 20 with the myAFibRisk.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. The circuit’s September schedule then comes to a close with the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 27.
