  • The drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will get the Chase for the Sprint Cup underway on Sunday afternoon in the MyAFibStory.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Brad Keselowksi locked up the top spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup field last time out with a victory in the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway. Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray, Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, and Aric Almirola rounded out the Top 10 drivers in the Federated Auto Parts 400, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. was 12th. Keselowski now has four victories on the season and will start the Chase in first place. Gordon, Earnhardt Jr., Logano, and Johnson all have three wins so far this year, while Carl Edwards and Harvick have two apiece. Matt Kenseth won the GEICO 400 at Chicagoland last September, with Kyle Busch and Harvick following him across the finish line. Kurt Busch, Johnson, Gordon, Keselowski, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Bowyer, and Newman rounded out the Top 10 drivers at that race. After racing at Chicagoland the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will continue the Chase in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 21. The other eight Chase events will take place at Dover, Kansas, Charlotte, Talladega, Martinsville, Texas, Phoenix, and Homestead-Miami.
