Although it was the Yankees who ultimately won the distinction of being crowned division champions. The O’s are not without momentum of their own after topping the once-league-leading Texas Rangers in the wild card play-in game last Thursday.
According to Bovada’s MLB futures, the play-in victory, coupled with a strong 2012 campaign all around, has given Baltimore surprising odds of winning the World Series. The Yankees, however, the All-American perennial favorites sit expectantly higher on the same list.
