MLB Betting – Who Will Be the 2012 World Series MVP?

Betting On The 2012 Mlb World Series

The online sports books do not focus a whole lot on the LCS MVPs, but there is a large shadow cast on the World Series MVP every year. For some players, winning the World Series MVP is just another award to add to a long list of awards that seems to grow every season. But for others, the World Series MVP is their one claim to fame that helps to keep their names in the minds of baseball historians for many years to come. Let’s take a look at some of the players that could wind up as the MVP for the 2012 World Series and take their place in betting websites immortality.

Pablo Sandoval – San Francisco Giants

The Kung Fu Panda certainly made a huge impact in game one of the World Series with three home runs and four for four night. But Sandoval made a similar impact in the initial stages of the NLCS and then slowly faded away. That is why Marco Scutaro wound up winning the NLCS MVP. If Sandoval wants to finish this series as MVP, he is going to have to keep a hot bat and continue to play a strong third base.

Barry Zito – San Francisco Giants

The sports betting experts figure that Barry Zito will get one more start in this World Series and there is nothing to say that Bruce Bouchy won’t use Zito out of the bullpen if the series goes seven games. If Zito gets another win in this series, drives in a couple more runs and maybe picks up a save, then there is a very good chance that he winds up being the MVP.

Miguel Cabrera – Detroit Tigers

Detroit pitcher Justin Verlander killed any chances he had of being the World Series MVP with his horrendous performance in game one. But triple crown winner Miguel Cabrera had a respectable showing in game one and did his best to bring his team out of the dumps. The Tigers are far from done in this series and he team can go as far as Cabrera can take it. The betting sites online fully expect Cabrera’s ability to hit in clutch situations to be one of the key factors that brings the Tigers back in this series.

Doug Fister – Detroit Tigers

Fister is in the same boat as Zito. Fister can hit the ball and he could also be an option for the Tigers out of the bullpen late in the series. If Fister wins game two and then gets a chance to pitch in game six, then Fister could put up the numbers needed to be the World Series MVP. But in order for Fister to win MVP, the Tigers must win the World Series.

Prince Fielder – Detroit Tigers

Prince Fielder is a dark horse in the World Series MVP voting, but he certainly has the bat to bring the Tigers the title. If Prince gets hot and starts driving in runs, then he would have to be considered an MVP candidate.
