Giants Take MLB Odds Advantage as World Series Shifts to Detroit
Any momentum that the Detroit Tigers had left over after sweeping the New York Yankees in the ALCS has surely been lost, as they head home with their tails between their legs and down two games to nothing in the World Series. The San Francisco Giants, once underdogs on the MLB moneyline, will look to close out the series in Motown.

Although all MLB odds pointed to the Tigers in the days leading up to the series, the Giants then exhausted after a seven-game trial against the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS, much has changed. According to Bovada’s MLB oddsmakers, they now have the advantage on the futures.
With 14-game winner on the hill when Game 3 kicks off this Saturday, San Francisco could put themselves in a position to send All-Star hurler Matt Cain to the mound in a decisive Game 4.
Don’t, however, expect Jim Leyland and the Tigers to simply surrender just as the series shifts north to Comerica. Not only was Detroit on unfamiliar territory in AT&T Park, a notoriously pitcher friendly stadium, it was home to the least amount of home runs in baseball this season – a variable Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera and his power hitting companion Prince Fielder would need to time to adapt to.
Comforts of home may not be enough to get the Tigers back up the MLB moneyline and into this series, but it certainly won’t hurt.
