Much was made of Kevin Durant’s decision to leave Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason for the Golden State Warriors. The two have met once already this season and will again on Wednesday, when the Warriors host Thunder. Oddsmakers currently have the line at Golden State -14 and the total is at 231. He’s still averaging a triple-double per game and has 20 on the season, and the Thunder have won 16 of those games. Durant has been no slouch, though. The Warriors have the league’s best record. Ranked eighth in scoring, Durant is on track to shoot about 54% from the field – a career-best for a player who previously was around 49%. Durant has worked his way into the MVP discussion. The two teams met way back on November 5 in Oakland, where the Warriors beat the Thunder 122-96. Durant poured in 39 points against his former team while Westbrook was held to 20 points, 10 assists and six rebounds, along with six turnovers.
