When QB’s were being picking in the season long fantasy football leagues Andrew Luck’s name was one of the first QB’s off the board and with good reason. Last year Luck put up huge numbers with 40 touchdowns to 16 interceptions and over 5000 total yards through the air and rushing with an extra 3 touchdowns on the ground. This year the former #1 overall pick has thrown for only 5 touchdowns with 7 interceptions. How long will Luck be unlucky? Probably not too long as we are talking about a high pedigree, level headed player who was on the brink of taking his team to the Super Bowl last year and gets the Jacksonville Jaguars in the dome this coming weekend. The schedule so far has not been favorable for Luck. Jacksonville does not have Revis and is giving up north of 280 yards a game through the air so expect Luck to have his break out game in what should be another Pro Bowl season this week. Sticking with the pick’em line-ups in Draft Fury’s group 5 players if you have seen the Indianapolis defense its apparent that Andrew Luck is going to need to outscore a lot of teams to get wins. Tennessee rookie Marcus Mariota lit up the Colts for 367 yards through the air and the Colts have surrendered an average of 26.7 points per game making this a probable shoot out with the Jaguars and QB Blake Bortles. Look for Bortles to feast on the Indy defense and put up plenty of fantasy points through the air. In Draft Fury Salary Cap leagues anyone can pick the top guys so don’t shy away from Matt Forte the only healthy weapon the Chicago Bears have who will be used considerably against the Raiders but in order to stick underneath the salary cap look for guys who will get more than the usual playing time who are healthy. Darren Sproles the dynamic Philadelphia running back should see more action this week with DeMarco Murray out of the line-up plus his special teams play is an added bonus for a bargain at $7,500. Coby Fleener who has spent an eternity playing with Andrew Luck get to face the lackluster Jacksonville Jaguars in the friendly confines of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis should be a very productive tight end at $5,400 so there will be plenty of room for big names to choose from. Other good bargains include a couple of Oakland Raiders. Derek Carr is everything the Houston Texans hoped his older brother David could have been. Derek has been exceptional at protecting the football with just one interception through three games and has a great receiver in Amari Cooper. Carr put up over 300 yards through the air and better than a third of those yards wen to Cooper and the Raiders are suddenly 2-1 and get to face off against an injury riddled Chicago Bear squad in the Windy City. The only blemish to date for Oakland has been at the hands of Pac Man Jones and the Cincinnati Bengals who are 3-0 sitting atop the NFC North and looking like a solid Super Bowl contender.
