Hill and Scherzer Battle in Pivotal Game 5

A spot in the NLCS is on the line as Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals are playing game #5 of their NLDS matchup on Thursday. The Chicago Cubs are waiting after advancing to the NLCS by beating the San Francisco Giants.

Washington made a great comeback in game #4. In the 7th inning the Natties chased Dodger starter Clayton Kershaw and scored 3-runs to tie it at 5 a piece. The resilient Dodgers scored on in the bottom of the 8th to push the NLDS series to the final and pivotal game.

Left hander Rich Hill will take the mound for the Dodgers to start this game. Hill is 12-6 this season with a 2.35 ERA.

Hill’s opponent in this one will be Max Scherzer. The Nationals right hander has a 3.03 ERA to go along with a 20-8 record this season.
