Clemson Looks to Soliday CFB Playoffs Status
The Clemson Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles play in a terrific ACC Atlantic matchup on Saturday. The teams clash in a prime-time matchup Saturday ( 8 p.m. ET, ABC) at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.
Oddsmakers currently have the Clemson Tigers listed as 5-point favorites versus the Seminoles. The game’s total is sitting at 59.
Last time out for Florida State, they were a 17-6 winner as they battled the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at home. Florida State failed to cover in the match as a -24-point favorite, while 23 combined points moved the game UNDER for totals bettors. For Florida State, running back Dalvin Cook’s return to form has been a factor in the Seminoles’ rebound from a 1-2 start to the season. He has rushed for 900 yards for the season, is coming off a 115-yard effort in last week’s victory over Wake Forest, and rushed for 194 yards and scored the Seminoles’ only touchdown in last year’s loss to Clemson.
The Clemson Tigers won its last outing, a 24-17 outing against the North Carolina State Wolfpack on October 15. Clemson failed to cover in that game as a -20-point favorite, while the 41 combined points took the game UNDER the total. The third-ranked Tigers (7-0, 4-0 ACC) have a bit of a cushion over the No. 12 Seminoles (5-2, 2-2) as far as the Atlantic Division race is concerned but that doesn’t detract from the rivalry.
