LSU’s Fournette Passes on Bowl Game

The 2016 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl pits the LSU Tigers and the Louisville Cardinals against each other on Saturday. The battle at Camping World Stadium Stadium kicks off at 11 am EST. It features Ed Orgeron in his first game after officially becoming the LSU Head Coach. It also features a LSU squad without one of the nation’s top running backs in Leonard Fournette. He is bypassing the game to focus on the NFL Draft.

Oddsmakers currently have the LSU Tigers listed as 3-point favorites in the Citrus Bowl.  The game’s total is sitting at 60.

Louisville lost its last outing, a 41-38 result against Kentucky Wildcats on November 26. LSU was a 54-39 winner in its last match on the road against Texas A&M Aggies. They covered the -6.5-point spread as favorites, while the total score of 93 sent OVER bettors to the payout window. LSU (7-4) has the personnel to make life difficult for the dual-threat quarterback. LSU is sixth nationally in scoring defense at 16.4 points per game. They are 14th in total defense (323.0 yards per game).

Only Texas A&M broke the 21-point barrier against the Tigers this season.
