Seton Hall Looks to Hold Onto 1st Place in Big East
Sitting in first place in the Big East standings, the No. 16 Seton Hall Pirates will host the Butler Bulldogs in the Prudential Center on Wednesday.

Even though this 2019-20 college basketball season has been wild so far, teams are finally starting to settle into a groove as we inch closer to the end of conference play.
There are a number of teams to love from each conference, and like we have been saying all year, some of the conferences that are usually not as strong have closed the gap considerably.
The Big East is one of those conferences, and with five ranked teams inside the Top 25, there is so much to love and so many different styles of play.
Two of these teams will be going head-to-head with each other on Wednesday night in a clash of the big boys.
The last time that these two teams played each other, the Bulldogs lost at home by a close score of 78-70.
Both of these teams match up incredibly well with each other, so there is a whole lot to unpack in this game coming our way on Wednesday.
Not Hot — Seton Hall & Butler Struggling
Coming into this game, both of these teams are 2-3 in their last five games. That does not mean it is any time to panic, as they are as complete of a team as any in the country.
One thing that has me worried about the Butler Bulldogs is how much their defense has been slipping lately.
Earlier in conference play, their team was holding their opponents to under 60 points per game. This was a specialty of their squad, but opponents have been able to score with relative ease.
Seton Hall should feel great about this game. They are coming in with one of the best scorers in the country with Myles Powell.
As a senior for this team, Powell is the heart and soul of everything that the Pirates do. Averaging an incredible 21.7 points per game, Powell is able to get it done from anywhere on the count.
Butler will have to zero in on Powell if they want any chance to win this game. Allowing him to get hot will only be a detriment to their gameplan.
For Butler, they boast a more team-oriented approach in general, and they can really turn it on when they all get going.

This is going to be one of their toughest games so far this season, and it is going to be a grind no matter how you slice it for this Bulldogs team.
