Xavier Faces Tough Buffaloes Squad

The Xavier Musketeers and the Colorado Buffaloes square off on Wednesday night at Coors Events Center. The Xavier Musketeers are Colorado’s second ranked opponent on its non-conference schedule. A win Wednesday would give it a sweep of those teams, after beating Texas on November 22nd.

Oddsmakers currently have the Xavier Musketeers listed as 2-point favorites versus the Buffaloes. The game’s total is sitting at 144.

Colorado won its last outing, a 76-63 result against the Portland Pilots on December 03. They covered in that game as a -4.5-point favorite. Colorado lost to in-state rival Colorado State last week to snap a 12-game home winning streak but bounced back to beat Portland.

The Xavier Musketeers lost to the Baylor Bears 76-61 on December 3rd. They were +4.5-point underdogs and didn’t cover. The total went over the posted 135.  The Musketeers played arguably their best half of basketball when they took a 34-31 lead at intermission against the Bears. In the second-half turnovers were their undoing.
