Germany advances as the number one seed in the group with a win or DRAW on Thursday so Germany will not press as much which is great news for the USA.

USA WIN Thursday vs. Germany they win the group no matter of the outcome of Portugal and Ghana
USA DRAW Thursday vs. Germany they would finish second in the group no matter of the outcome of Portugal and Ghana
USA are DEFEATED Thursday vs. Germany what they need to advance:
Portugal and Ghana Draw
Portugal win and a less than 4 goals differential for example USA would have to loss by three goals and Portugal would have to win by at least two goals.
Ghana win and less than three goal differential
I know it looks a little confusing but what it comes down to is the USA just needs to keep playing like they did vs. Portugal and get the win or draw to advance. If they are defeated they have to hope Portugal and Ghana draw or it’s a one goal game either way. Keep calm USA fans i think you might make out of the Group of Death but we have to wait to high noon on Thursday to be sure.
