UFC Betting – Stacked December Lineup Should Give UFC Fans Reason To Cheer
While UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit gave MMA sports betting fans quite the show at UFC 154, that has made some fans that much hungrier for more. Fortunately the UFC has a surprising four total shows booked for the month of December, ensuring fans will have the chance to enjoy a thrilling finish to the year. No bout will be more anticipated than the UFC Heavyweight rematch between Junior Dos Santos and Cain Valasquez, but there are a couple of online sports betting fights in particular that could end up being even more exciting.
That list includes the title fight between Ben Henderson and Nate Diaz at the UFC on Fox 5 Pay Per View. This online betting tilt would be a candidate for Fight of the Year even if there wasn’t a championship belt on the line, and the fact that Henderson will defend his title makes it that much more attractive. Henderson has won all five of his fights since transitioning over from the WEC, but Nate Diaz will undoubtedly be the most dangerous opponent he will have faced with the UFC Lightweight championship up for grabs.
There won’t be a title on the line when former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua takes on rising star Alexander Gustafsson on that same UFC on Fox 5 card, but this bout could be even more entertaining. Neither fighter can afford a loss at this point with Gustafsson looking to prove that he can hang with the big boys and Rua attempting to show that he still belongs among the true contenders in the light heavyweight division, so don’t expect either online sportsbook competitor to relent one bit.
The UFC on Fox 5 card will also feature a welterweight bout between former champion BJ Penn and Rory MacDonald, but this sports betting event isn’t the only one with some intense matchups to look forward to. Hector Lombard is set to take on Rousimar Palhares at UFC on Fox 6 in a battle of two of the more hyped names that haven’t broken through yet, while Jim Miller is set to clash with Joe Lauzon at UFC 155.
As for the big one, the UFC 155 main event fight between the UFC Heavyweight champion Dos Santos and former champion Valasquez is sure to live up to its hype, as neither fighter wants this bout to go to the final bell. Dos Santos took the title from Valasquez with a first-round knockout that he scored just 1:04 in to their match, and now Valasquez will look for his revenge after landing a first-round knockout of his own when he took out Antonio Silva at UFC 146. This tilt has the makings to not only be one of the best fights of December, but a of the Fight of the year candidate as well, and fans can’t wait to see it happen.
