Las Vegas Raiders Catch Points at Home vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football
By Charles Jay
The Kansas City Chiefs are not dominating the AFC West the way they did last season, and in point of fact, they better get a move on if they want to make the playoffs. When Lucky99 patrons make their Sunday Night Football picks, they may want to consider the many flaws in this team in moving forward.
With a record of five wins and four losses, the Chiefs are certainly in the mix to win the division title, but if they don’t do that, there are a number of teams with similar records, as there will be much jockeying around for three different wild-card spots this season.
On Sunday night, the Chiefs will take on the Las Vegas Raiders, in a game that begins at 8:20 p.m. Eastern at Allegiant Stadium on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sunday Night Football Picks — What happened in Kansas City?
There are a number of factors. First, however, let’s point out that the Kansas City Chiefs is still the team that gains more yards per possession than anyone else in the league. So it’s not that they are sputtering.
They just turn the ball over a lot. In fact, in terms of the number of turnovers they commit on a per-possession basis, they are the most error-prone club in the league. Patrick Mahomes has thrown ten interceptions, which is more than he’s had in either of the last two seasons.
There has been some upheaval in the offensive line, which is not as strong as it was a year ago, and the ground game has not been something they can count on. Of course, one of the reasons is that Clyde Edwards-Helaire, the talented dual-purpose back out of LSU, has sat out time with injuries.
Sunday Night Football Picks — Here are the numbers….
In the football betting odds posted at Lucky99 on this game, the Kansas City Chiefs is laying points on the road:
Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 (-120)
Las Vegas Raiders +2.5 (+100)
Over 52.5 points -110
Under 52.5 points -110
Sunday Night Football Picks — What’s the latest with the Raiders?
Yeah, it’s like Peyton Place around this team’s camp this season. There was, of course, the bizarre incident in which Jon Gruden was more or less forced to tender his resignation, after some emails from years ago got out about him. Ironically, the Las Vegas Raiders have just signed wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who was not disciplined by the league for some anti-semitic remarks invoking Adolf Hitler.
Jackson came in to replace Henry Ruggs, who killed somebody with his car while going 156 mph, drunk, and with a gun in the passenger seat. Other than that, everything is normal. And we have to give some credit to Rich Bisaccia, who has assumed the interim coaching duties under difficult circumstances. But the Raiders can’t afford to lose many more games like they did last week at MetLife Stadium, as a couple of critical Derek Carr interceptions led to a 23 -16 defeat.
Sunday Night Football Fix — Why we like Las Vegas Raiders
We should have mentioned that another thing which has gotten in the way of Kansas City’s offense is that opposing defensive coordinators have made a concerted effort to reduce the number of explosive plays the Chiefs can produce. So Mahomes is averaging only seven yards per throw.
Actually, the team in this matchup that has proven to be more explosive on offense is Las Vegas, which leads all NFL squads with 45 plays of 20 yards or more.
Carr had some success last year against Kansas City, completing 45 of 62 passes with six touchdowns and only one sack over the two meetings. And tight end Darren Waller came back from an injury to catch seven passes against the Giants. Carr will seek him out most extensively. And Josh Jacobs is getting a full workload.
As far as we’re concerned, the Chiefs don’t figure here as a road favorite, so we are happy to take points would be more efficient Raiders. And you might consider a money line play as well (+125).
Lucky99 would love for you to take advantage of reduced juice, which gives you the opportunity to avoid having to lay the standard -110 on football, and thus save yourself some money in the long run….. And you’ve got several options if you want to do some real time wagering and stay in the action until the very end….. Don’t forget that Prop Builder gives you a lot of other ways to find angles to play, and that if you got some Bitcoin laying around, you can get into the action almost immediately!
