Seton Hall Has Won 10 Straight at Home

The 11th-ranked Butler Bulldogs invade New Jersey and battle the Seton Hall Pirates on Wednesday at the Prudential Center. Seton Hall will be gunning for their 11th consecutive home victory when the basketball tips at 8:30 pm EST on FOX Sports 1. Oddsmakers opened the Bulldogs as -1.5-point favorites versus the Pirates, while the game’s total opened at 141.5. Seton Hall won its last outing, a 86-73 result against the St. John’s Red Storm on January 22. They covered in that game as a -8.5-point favorite. Angel Delgado scored 21 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in the loss to the Red Storm on Sunday.  Delgado is a 6-foot-9 junior from the Dominican Republic.  He became the first player to have a 20-20 game in Big East action since 2010.  Providence’s Jamine Peterson had 29 and 20 against Rutgers. Delgado (12.4) ranks only behind Purdue’s Caleb Swanigan (12.5) in rebounding in the country. He is third in double-doubles with 14. Butler was a 70-69 winner in its last match on the road against the Depaul Blue Demons. They failed to cover the -11.5-point spread as favorites. Butler has come back from 18-point and 20-point deficits to win their last two games. Marquette led Butler, 43-25 with 19:17 to play in the second half onJan. 16. DePaul led the Bulldogs  25-5  with 12:52 remaining in the first half Saturday.
