Raptors Have Two Game Lead on Celtics

The Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors are set to scrap on Wednesday when they meet at Air Canada Centre. ESPN will televise this matchup that could have sever playoff ramifications. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm EST. Oddsmakers opened the Raptors as -8-point favorites versus the Celtics, while the game’s total opened at 206.5. The line is now Toronto as 7-point favorites. The total is not at 205. The Raptors have the advantage over the Celtics for home-court advantage. They are still leading by two games despite the 112-106 loss Tuesday night to the Cavaliers. The Raptors have lost five of their past eight games. The loss to the Cavs made it two in a row, after going on an 11-game winning streak. The Celtics also dropped their game against the Bucks at Milwaukee on Tuesday, 106-102. They let Toronto off the hook for at least a few nights. The home team has won in the first three games between the teams this season. Boston defeated Toronto 110-99 on Saturday in the most recent meeting. The Celtics have a 2-1 advantage in the season series between the teams.

Celtics are Banged up Still Heading into Raptors Game

The Celtics played Saturday without some key injured players. Kyrie Irving (knee) is out until the playoffs. Marcus Smart has a banged up thumb. They did have Al Horford and Marcus Morris back. Both had missed the previous game with ankle sprains. Point guard Terry Rozier played through a sprained ankle Saturday. He did not play Tuesday at Milwaukee. Neither did his backup Shane Larkin.
