The road to Super Bowl is coming to an end, in what’s been a bone-crunching and vicious competition among the top football teams.
This weekend’s divisional playoff games will tell the tale. The Baltimore Ravens vs. the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons vs. the San Francisco 49’ers, fighting it out for the
AFC and NFC Championship respectively.
Super Bowl XLVII Should be Entertaining
The AFC Championship is a repeat of last year’s Conference finals. Baltimore has a bone to pick with New England. Now they hope to make up for the mishaps that kept them out of last year’s Super Bowl.
Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady and Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco face off in another AFC Championship game. They meet next Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
This may be a challenging game for New England. They are now without Tight End Rob Gronkowski, who re-aggravated his forearm injury last weekend.
NFC Champions Will be Ready for Super Bowl XLVII
Colin Kaepernick and the rest of the 49’ers team steam rolled over the Green Bay Packers 41-31 for the win. Kaepernick set an NFL record for rushing yards by a quarterback. He finished with 181 yards.
He was finding holes in the Packers defense all day. Green Bay hadn’t allowed more than 132 rushing yards before contact to any team in any game during the past four seasons.
San Francisco is now headed to Atlanta’s Georgia Dome. They will play against a Falcons team that has stepped up their physical game. Atlanta seems poised to strike down their opponent.
Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan came through in the end for the Falcons. The Falcons lost a three touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. That set up the game winning 49 yard field goal for kicker Matt Bryant.
