NHL Odds: Habs Seek Sweep in Ottawa
The hottest young goalie in the NHL couldn’t stop them. Neither could one of the league’s top veterans. The Montreal Canadiens are one win away from completing a first-round sweep of the Ottawa Senators, who trail their Eastern Conference quarterfinal 3-0 with Game 4 coming up Wednesday night (7:00 PM ET, USA) at the Tire.

The Habs (50-22-5-5, plus-8.68 units ATS during the regular season) won the first two games in Montreal, peppering Sens rookie Andrew Hammond (.941 save percentage, 6.5 Goalie Point Shares) with a combined 81 shots and scoring seven goals to Ottawa’s five. The Senators (43-26-6-7, plus-16.70 units ATS) went with Craig Anderson (.923 SV%, 8.0 GPS) in Game 3 at home on Sunday, and while Anderson made 47 saves, Montreal still won 2-1 in overtime as a +105 underdog.
Ottawa has fired its share of rubber at Habs netminder Carey Price (.933 SV%, 16.2 GPS), putting over 30 shots on the Montreal goal in each game thus far. The leading Hart Trophy candidate has improved his save percentage to .939 in these playoffs; however, the three one-goal victories Price secured leave the Canadiens one betting unit in the red, at 1-2 against the puck line.
