NCAA Odds: No. 13 Oregon State, No. 23 Texas Collide at Alamo Bowl
Although the NCAA bowl schedule is typically back-heavy, college football betting fans will get at least one opportunity to weigh in on a clash of two top-ranked contenders before New Year’s when the No. 13 Oregon State Beavers look to cap off their impressive 2012 campaign with a Valero Alamo Bowl victory over the No. 23 Texas Longhorns.

The collision pits two mid-level forces from two major conferences against one another with hardware on the line.
For the Pac-12 Beavers, the December matchup serves as a chance for redemption. After kicking off their season with back-to-back wins over AP-ranked opponents, the club failed to cash in on an opportunity against a Top 25 team for the rest of the season. Losses to Stanford and Oregon in November quickly stifled any far-fetched hopes the once 6-0 program may have had of living up to their BCS futures.
The Longhorns, however, have questions of their own that will need answering before their December 29 season finale. Wins over Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Baylor exemplify how competitive this team can be, but their four Big 12 losses are cause for concern.
