NASCAR Preview – AAA 400 at Dover
The drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will be back on the track on Sunday afternoon as they continue the Chase in the AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway.
Matt Kenseth held off Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano last time out to take the checkered flag in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards finished fourth and fifth at New Hampshire, with Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Martin Truex Jr., Kasey Kahne, and Ryan Newman rounding out the Top 10 drivers.
Kenseth and Hamlin hold down the top two spots in the updated Chase standings, with Edwards and Logano tied for third place. Hamlin won the opening race of the Chase back on September 20 at Chicagoland.
Gordon won the AAA 400 last season, holding off Brad Keselowski and Johnson for the trip to Victory Lane. Logano, Kenseth, Kyle Larson, Truex Jr., Newman, Clint Bowyer, and Kyle Busch rounded out the Top 10.
Johnson was the winner of the FedEx 400 at Dover back in May, with Kevin Harvick second and Larson third at that event.
After racing at Dover the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will move on to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Bank of America 500 on October 10. The final two races of the month of October will then take place at Kansas and Talladega.
