Family of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher plans to sue a German magazine for publishing a fake AI interview. Schumacher has been out of the public eye since suffering a brain injury after a skiing accident in 2013.

According to bookie pay per head sources, a weekly German magazine Die Aktuelle placed Schumacher on the front cover of its April 15 edition. Also, they claimed they interviewed the legendary F1 driver.

However, they placed a subheading claiming that it sounded deceptively real. The fake artificial intelligence interview featured fictitious quotes allegedly from Schumacher. According to sports news reports, the phony interview discussed his supposed family life since the skiing accident. Also, it gave an upgrade to his medical condition.

Funke-Mediengruppe, the company that produces Die Aktuelle, has a representative named Dennis Barkhausen, who declined to comment.

Since the tragedy, the Schumacher family has limited details concerning the motorsport legend's condition. However, Corinna Schumacher opened up about her husband's illness in a Netflix documentary on his Formula One career released in September 2021.

After two years with Haas, Schumacher's son Mick is now a reserve for Mercedes in Formula One. According to bookie software experts, He remarked that it is a great honor for him to represent the surname in Formula One again.
