NFL To Test Super Bowl Teams Twice Daily Until Game
The NFL is very, very serious about its COVID-19 precautions this close to the Super Bowl LV. Coaches and players of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Buccaneers will be tested twice daily in the days leading up to the Super Bowl on February 7. The Game will continue as planned. But any player that tests positive will not be playing next week. This season alone, the league has had over 950,000 tests administered, and they have spent more than $100 million on COVID protocols. The season has ad no game cancellations, although a slew of positive cases did happen, where teams were promptly slapped with fines and sanctions, such as losing draft picks.
