2013 NBA Betting – Wizards Try To Maximize Their Best Stretch Of The Season

Wagering On Wizards Nba Basketball         The Washington Wizards suddenly look like a genuinely credible professional basketball team. It’s surprising, to be sure, but the reality cannot be denied at this point in time. Minnesota Timberwolves @ Washington Wizards – Friday, January 25 Sport betting line: Wizards -6 1/2 and the total is 186 1/2 Why Minnesota Will Win Online football betting students who want to add basketball to their world of study and examination will probably say that even though the Washington Wizards are a hot team right now, the end of the line has to be near. Surely, the Wizards – of all teams – are not going to transform themselves into a long-term success. Washington is still a team that is 9-30 on the season. Teams of the Wizards’ quality can flourish for two weeks, but in the long run, they eventually run out of steam and level off. It would be a genuine surprise if the Wizards – two games from the (41-game) midpoint of their 82-game schedule – won as many as 35 games this season, and that’s being generous. Assuming that Washington wins on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Utah against the Jazz (also a generous assumption), the Wizards would need to go 20-22 in their remaining 42 games just to reach the 30-win mark this season. In the short term, this team is playing really well, having won five of its last seven, but in the long run, the Wizards are still set up for failure. Keep in mind that Washington had a four-day break from Jan. 8 through 11 that gave the team a springboard into the middle section of the month. There isn’t a similar break before this game, and that’s why Minnesota can stop Washington in its tracks. Why Washington Will Win With an online horse betting guru or a college football betting expert, the calculus of a given event can sometimes depend not on the excellence of the favored athlete or team, but on the lack of excellence in the competition. This is true on Friday in Washington, D.C., where the Minnesota Timberwolves will take the court without superstar big man Kevin Love, who has been injured for the second time this season. Minnesota has psychologically and tactically been unable to compensate for Love’s absence. This is an emaciated team that needs its best player on the floor during the long midwinter grind before the All-Star break. Minnesota misses Love’s defense and rebounding as much as it misses his scoring. The Timberwolves are scoring under 100 points just about every night. They have failed to hit 100 points in each game since Jan. 8. However, Minnesota is also getting torn apart on defense. The T-Wolves have surrendered at least 100 points to the opposition in all but three of their January games. That’s a three-week period of competition, so it’s clear that Minnesota is not immersed in a short-term problem, but a deep and structural one that isn’t going to be fixed anytime soon. Who Will Win? The sense here is that Washington will be able to ride its newfound sense of confidence for at least one more game. Minnesota is not in position to effectively counter the Wizards – Kevin Love’s absence will affect so much of what the Timberwolves like (and need) to do. Take Washington.
