Kershaw and Cueto Battle it out in San Fran with the Total at only 5 1/2

The fans at AT&T Park will be treated to what should be a great pitchers duel between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants when they take their seats on Friday. Kershaw is pitching as well as expected and Cueto has found the form of most of his Reds' days and is good as advertised.

The Dodgers will give the ball to starter Clayton Kershaw in this one. Left hander Kershaw is 8-1 this season with a 1.46 ERA.

Starting this game for the Giants will be Johnny Cueto. The right hander has a 2.16 ERA to go along with a 9-1 record this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Dodgers listed as 160-moneyline favorites versus the Giants, while the game's total is sitting at 5½. San Francisco was a 2-1 winner in its last match on the road against the Red Sox. They won as +117 underdogs, while the total score of 3 made winners of...

Improved Braves send Wisler to the Hill Against the Giants Peavy

The fans at Turner Field will be treated to much improved play by the Braves since the managerial change from Freddi Gonzalez to Brian Snitker. The San Francisco Giants are their opponent on Tuesday Night. The improved play has less to do with the change in skipper's than just getting a few breaks and playing an easier schedule. The Braves had the toughest schedule in the Majors the first 6-weeks of the season.

    The Giants will trot Jake...

Padres seek payback against the Giants!!

Giants swept the Padres last week, a three-game series in which the Padres scored only one run in each of the losses. The Padres turn to southpaw Drew Pomeranz to set the tone. He was the tough-luck loser to the Giants in Wednesday's 2-1 loss. Johnny Cueto will try to lead the Giants to their seventh straight win over the NL West rivals and 11th in 12 games overall Monday night in the opener of a three-game series at AT&T Park.

    Cueto allowed only four...

Giants looking to extend to a 7 game winning streak

San Diego's starter, Drew Pomeranz, has allowed just one run and seven hits in 18 innings spanning his previous three starts. It's worth pointing out, though, that Pomeranz's last subpar effort came against the Giants on April 25, when he yielded four runs (three earned) and seven hits while walking three in 4 1/3 innings. San Francisco won that game, 5-4.

He's had some trouble with Buster Posey, who is 5 for 8 with two homers off Pomeranz....

Cueto and Greinke lock horns tonight as the DBacks visit the Giants

Thursday night when the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks meet at Chase Field we should all expect a low scoring pitchers duel. Greinke hasn't hit his stride yet, but he should settle in soon and Cueto is pitching like the Cueto of old.

Right hander Johnny Cueto will take the mound for the Giants to start this game. Cueto is 4-1 this season with a 3.02 ERA.

Meanwhile, it'll be Zack Greinke who starts for the Diamondbacks....
